Summer Breeze Tank
A bit of inspiration behind the name:
As you know, I love my simple but timeless stitches. For the coming of spring, an open knit tank felt like the perfect next project. With a simple increase and decrease this texture allows you to layer over a tank or swimsuit to add that perfect touch to your warmer days outfits! Completed with with thin straps that add a cute bow for the perfect outfit! Happy knitting.
Picture this over your favorite tank or swim suit! I love the idea of this over a bright suit, full or two piece, it gives strong summer/festival vibes and I love t!!
An easy to customize and wear tank!!! Adjust the length from cropped to long to suit your Summer style and this airy cotton tank will be weightless on your so it’s all style and no overheat! If you live in warmer climates an extra layer can be a lot - thats what was in my mind when I designed this, we needed a cute layer that wouldn’t add to the summer heat, just the gorgeousness of the outfit!
NOTES
Check Stitches to Know on pg. 7 for all abbreviations and terms.
What size are you making? For example, if you’re making an L, you’ll work the same spot in the parentheses for the entire pattern.
XS (S, M, L, XL) (2X, 3X, 4X, 5X) = X ( X, X, L, X) (X, X, X, X)
You can easily add length to be perfect for you and the straps are adjustable for easy customization.
The body is worked up in one piece in the round and then the top shaping details are in rows. Straps are simple braids that get sewn on at the end.
GAUGE
Please check your gauge before you start this pattern to match the finished measurements: Matching stitches per inch will get your width to match, rows will match up the length.
It’s best to make your swatch slightly bigger than what the pattern states it should measure, so you can measure it in the center of your square, getting an accurate reading. You can do this by adding 2 additional stitches and work 2 additional rows. Do not count the first and last stitch in your measurement or the first and last row.
Needle Size Suggestions:
If your swatch has less stitches, swatch again using a smaller needle.
If your swatch has more stitches, swatch again using a larger needle.
