A bit of History behind the name: Wensleydale, England
Most of the dales are named after their river or stream. Wensleydale is one of only a few Yorkshire Dales not currently named after its principal river, but the older name, Yoredale. The valley is famous for its cheese. Wensleydale was one of the cheeses named by John Cleese in the Monty Python sketch "The Cheese Shop". The popular Wallace and Gromit animated shorts A Grand Day Out, The Wrong Trousers, and A Close Shave had the main character Wallace, a cheese connoisseur, mention Wensleydale as a particularly favourite cheese.

The Wensleydale Cowl
This Cowl works up quickly with the super bulky yarn and can be added to any outfit for an added warm layer! Using the Wool Ease Thick and Quick yarn makes this feel super soft, warm, sturdy and squishy. Making it a perfect accessory for even the coolest of days. Thick and Quick yarn also makes this project done in no time! There are so many color combos that would look lovely with this pattern.
This infinity Cowl is worked in the round, using two colorways at once. With simple stiitches, a big hook, and yarn makes it very easy to see your stitches. It's perfect for stash busting or for markets.
Work one up for yourself and friends as this is a Cowl that will look great on everyone and go with countless outfits!
Working these up in different color combos will give each one a unique feel too. The color change is made by switching the yarn wrapped around the hook while the other yarn is carried in the back. With crochet this is very easily archived because the stitches are secured so you can adjust tension as you go.
If you have a few hours time, you can make this infinity cowl, I also have a matching hat for the set available on my Blog as well!
