I love a classic neutral and I wanted a project to just relax with as the end of the year’s busy schedule sunk in. I went to my favorite colorway and a gorgeous stitch for the height of relaxation with my yarn!! The bigger hook adds space in the stitch which gives you a lightweight fabric with tons of drape, all while not losing any warmth from this wool combo yarn. With every stitch worked I felt stress just melt away! I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. I definitely need more of these one stitch wonders in my life!! A theme I’d definitely love to keep designing this year.
I love using a Thick and Quick yarn for so many reasons, heres just a few. This yarn holds its shape since there’s 20% wool in it, so year after year, wash after wash, my projects look the same. It works up so quick. and that always feels good when you may not have a ton of time for crafting. This literally takes shape within the first hour and when you can quickly envision the finish and see how the texture of the one stitch builds - it feels pretty good! Even though it’s a big yarn you can really change up the finished look by adding in some extra movement and drape. I like to do this by going up a few hook sizes. My Q hook adds an airiness and flow to the finished blanket and you don’t lose any of the warmth! Win Win!
This blanket flows off the hook and I can’t wait to have more of these easy but beautiful projects for you as the years go. This is perfect for a first time crocheter too. I have videos on my Youtube for help with knowing where your first stitch goes and how to work this stitch!
Happy crocheting!
It’s super SQUISHY and COZY!

NOTES
Beginning ch counts as a stitch to keep the blanket edges straight.
Worked bottom up in one piece and seamless.
Using one stitch throughout the throw makes it nice and easy to customize the length or width. Adding length/width will also affect the yardage required.
The last row worked is a sc for a nice edging.
For more/less width, every 5 sts adds/removes 4” (10cm).
For more/less length, every 5 rows adds/removes 4” (10cm).
GAUGE
**Please check your gauge before you start this Pattern to match the finished measurements:
It’s best to make your swatch slightly bigger than what the pattern states it should measure, so you can measure it in the center of your square, getting an accurate reading. You can do this by adding 2 additional stitches and work 2 additional rows. Do not count the first and last stitch in your measurement or the first and last row.
Hook Size Suggestions:
If your swatch has less stitches, swatch again using a smaller hook.
If your swatch has more stitches, swatch again using a larger hook.
