Endless Fade Shawl
CONSTRUCTION:
This one is made in all one piece (no seaming, woo hoo!) and the yarn + stitch combo is PERFECT as a beginner project! We’re making a triangular shawl, but working side to side for an easy go of it. I love a project that lulls you into a calm state and doesn’t look easy and flexible, but it is. It’s the best of both worlds! All the increases/decreases are worked on the same side of the project so you’ll always know where you’re at in your project. If you’re new to crochet I recommend using stitch markers to help as visuals for this part. Place a marker on the side of the increases so you know where you’re at. Place a marker in your increase/decrease stitch so when you have that on the left again, you know it’s time to inc/dec again. Other than that, I recommend always doing a quick row count every few rows to make sure you didn’t auto pilot past an inc/dec and you’re good to go! The other brilliant thing about this is the fade takes care of itself. You alternate an A + B and the Mandala skein I used fades itself throughout it. On the pattern you’ll find tips and tricks of how I carried my yarn up to avoid cutting my yarns and how I added extra details at the end to give it that extra bit of polish! I had VERY “minimal ends (hence the name) so that makes this even more carefree! In under 5 minutes I had all of my ends weaved in, a little steam block and BOOM, I was wearing my shawl!

LET'S TALK YARN!!
So you wanna make your shawl, let's get to the fun part! For this one I used 2 different lines. I used a worsted weight from Color Theory which has a softness that pulls me in everytime, and I paired it with a Mandala Skein which is a DK for some easy color work. The skeins mix very well together. The CT is a thin worsted which pairs perfectly with the DK of the Mandala. So I mixed a colorful skein with a pretty neutral to balance out my fade. However - one of my testers used a bolder color and I gotta tell you, this shawl has sooooo many options! It looked incredible. I think my favorite part of yarn crafts is how a different colorway can add so much mood and personality to a piece! So below you’ll see some cut pair ups to give a try if you’re picking up your kit. Mix and match your favorite mandala yarn between a cool neutral or pop of color, with a brighter Mandala or something on the soothing neutral side!
Most importantly have fun, the journey is part of the awesome process!!
I hope you love this and I can’t wait to see your color combos, don’t forget to tag me on my IG, or you can send me an email through my website if you just wanna quietly share what you worked up!

GAUGE:
Gauge is also super flexible with this one but if you’re needing to make one, heres how I do it! 10 minutes can save you hours of working up the wrong size!
**Please check your gauge before you start this pattern to match the finished measurements for this pattern:
It’s best to make your swatch slightly bigger than what the pattern states it should measure so you can measure it in the center of your square, getting an accurate reading. You can do this by adding 2 additional stitches and working 2 additional rows. Do not count the first and last stitch in your measurement or the first and last row.
Hook Size Suggestions:
If your swatch has less stitches, swatch again using a smaller hook.
If your swatch has more stitches, swatch again using a larger hook.
